Part Sicilian, Native American, French and full-on Leo, Melissa spent most
of her childhood clowning it up at school and impersonating her beloved
family. Then late one night, she saw Sigourney Weaver in Alien and knew
right then what she wanted to be.

But they said she couldn't really be an alien,... imagine that? So on to the next best thing. She studied theatre at Georgia State University in her adopted hometown, Atlanta. After graduation, Melissa toiled as an Assignment Editor at Atlanta's CBS affiliate before becoming a full-time actor.

Her filmography includes the portrayal of Lucy Mercer in HBO's Emmy award-winning drama Warm Springs. She's been in numerous independent films including the multi-award winning short White Bitch Down and the critically-acclaimed musical comedy Petunia.

Notable television roles include the character 'Angie' on Lifetime's Army Wives , the recurring character ‘Ann Tracy’ on NBC's Surface and the character ‘Alice’ on the WB's One Tree Hill. Melissa also had two separate co-starring roles on the WB's Dawson's Creek and she appeared in the FX Network series Thief.

Having earned her lion's share of success, she's landed over 100 national
and regional commercials. Look for her current campaigns for Travelocity as Mary O'Hara, the reporter on the case of the Roaming Gnome, along with
Off Broadway Shoes, Alpha Hydrox and Disney World. She's also the proud
host for HGTV's Quick Fix and Turner's Game Tap Network.

Oh yeah...and she does a little sketch comedy. Melissa performs with
The Goods Variety Show along side her long time partner Kenny Alfonso.
She enjoys playing her signature characters in outrageous sketches and
spoofs-or is that every day life?
